Ford built tractors for over six decades. The Fordson Model F started it in 1917 - America's first mass-produced tractor - and the line ran through the Fordson Major, the famous Ford 3000, 5000, 7600, all the way up to the 7710 before Ford exited the tractor market in 1991. That is a lot of machines, and a lot of them are still working.
The parts demand for Ford tractors remains strong. The 5000 and 6600 series were enormously popular in the UK, Ireland, and across Europe. In Africa and the Middle East, Ford 3000 and 4000 series tractors have been running on farms for forty years. Parts availability matters - and Aurexa Global keeps stock across the full Ford and Fordson range, all referenced against original OEM part numbers.
Ford and Fordson - The Range
The Fordson name came first. Ford's Dagenham plant in Essex produced the Fordson E27N Major after World War II, followed by the New Major and Power Major in the 1950s. The Fordson Dexta - a lighter, more economical machine - arrived in 1957 and became popular on smaller farms. These are now vintage machines, but demand for parts to keep them running or restore them is consistent.
Ford's numbered series began in the 1960s. The 1000 Series (2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 7000) set the template, and the subsequent 600 Series (2600, 3600, 4600, 5600, 6600, 7600) evolved it. These machines found homes on farms worldwide. The later 10 Series (2610, 3610, 4610, 5610, 6610, 7610, 7710) were built through the 1980s - well-regarded for reliability and still common in many markets today.

Fordson Classic Parts
For the Fordson Dexta, Super Dexta, and Major range, we stock a dedicated selection of parts. The Dexta used a Perkins 3-cylinder diesel engine - parts for this unit overlap with our Perkins range. The E27N Major and New Major used Ford's own engine designs, and we carry the key wear items for these machines including piston sets, gaskets, and bearing kits.
Ford part numbering changed across production runs. If you have a part number from an older parts book, it may have been superseded by a later reference. Our team maintains a cross-reference database and can identify the current correct part from older or superseded numbers - contact us with what you have.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you stock parts for the Fordson Dexta?
Yes. The Fordson Dexta and Super Dexta used a Perkins 3-cylinder diesel engine, and parts overlap significantly with our standard Perkins range. We stock the key engine components, hydraulics, clutch, and ancillary parts for these models.
What is the difference between Ford 5000 and 5600 parts?
The Ford 5000 (1964-1976) and 5600 (1976-1981) are related but not identical. They share some engine components but differ in transmission and hydraulic systems. When ordering, always specify the model and year to ensure correct fitment - our team can confirm which parts are shared and which are model-specific.
Do you have parts for Ford 7710 tractors?
Yes. The Ford 7710 is part of our 10 Series coverage. Engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical parts are available for this model.
Do you export Ford tractor parts internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide with full export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
